GISC 5300 Foundations of Geographic Information Systems

3 Semester Credit Hours (3 Lecture Hours)

This course will cover the basic principles and concepts of GIS. Topics will include maps as numbers, getting spatial digital data into the computer, use of GIS databases, principles and use of GIS software, and including applications to the K-12 environment.
