Gulf Scholars Program, Certificate (GSP@TAMU-CC)
Program Description
The Gulf Scholars Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (GSP@TAMU-CC) makes an unparalleled commitment to student success to build capacity, knowledge, and connections for our students both on campus and together with local community partners so they are well-prepared to serve as leaders that understand the complex balance needed to guide us towards a sustainable, resilient, prosperous, and equitable future in South Texas and the greater Gulf region. Upon successful completion of coursework, students will earn a certificate.
Student Learning Outcomes
For this certificate, students will successfully complete a Gulf Impact Project as well as demonstrate knowledge of:
- the Gulf.
- intercultural understanding and competencies.
- social responsibility and ethical reasoning.
- interdisciplinary and integrative learning.
- innovation and entrepreneurship, including career development.
Admissions Requirements
- Sophomore, junior, or senior status.
- Completion of the application found on the GSP@TAMU-CC website.
- Approval of GSP@TAMU-CC Certificate faculty.
