PHYS 1402 - General Physics II

4 sem. hrs. (3:3) TCCNS Equivalent: PHYS 1402
Introduction to oscillatory and wave phenomena, electricity and magnetism. The classical theory of fields will be used to study electric and magnetic phenomena, including light, and their role in modern technology. Laboratory activities provide introduction to empirical methods in science. This course counts toward the natural science component of University Core Curriculum. Prerequisite:   or placement beyond MATH 1314, and   or  . SMTE 0095  is a co-requisite for this course. Documented completion of this safety training is required early in the semester for continued participation in this course. Safety training given during a laboratory meeting early in the semester is required for continued participation in this course.
