USSE 1201 is designed to guide first-year students through a successful transition to life as TAMU-CC Islanders, equipping them with essential skills and strategies for both academic and personal success. Throughout the course, students will develop solid skills in the following areas: academic habits and strategies, goal setting and organizational skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and metacognitive and reflection strategies that will be needed for their college journey and beyond.
