GEOL 1403 - Physical Geology

4 sem. hrs. (3:2) TCCNS Equivalent: GEOL 1403.
Introduction to the origin, classification, and composition of Earth materials. Study of internal and surface processes which shape and modify Earth. Laboratory studies of minerals and rocks, as well as topographic maps, geologic maps and geologic cross-sections. This course counts toward the natural science component of the University Core Curriculum. SMTE 0094  is a co-requisite for this course. Documented completion of this safety training is required early in the semester for continued participation in this course. Safety training given during a laboratory meeting early in the semester is required for continued participation in this course.
